In addition to e-learning projects for OCSC, I worked on a number of other instructional materials. These consist primarily of course manuals meant as supplements to the standard sailing texts. In most cases, the source for the manuals was essentially unformatted text written up in Word. My task included editing the content, organizing it into chapters, creating illustrations, finding or taking photographs . . . in short, creating all of the material that did not yet exist to make a complete manual. Attached is one of a number of manuals I put together. It is for Bareboat Cruising, a course designed to prepare students to charter larger sailboats anywhere in the world. All manuals are printed, so we made them black and white to save copying costs.
