I started text blogging for the same reason I started videoblogging: to understand the medium and to get familiar with the tools. I used the knowledge I gained to help clients set up blogs. I generally work in WordPress (open source blogging software), though Blogger is also very popular (Aphrodite in Jeans' blog, below, is hosted by Blogger). Most recently, I set up a blog for an event I participated in. The event is the Gold Rush Randonnee (GRR). It's put on by the Davis Bike Club every four years, and involves riding a bike 1200 kilometers (750 miles) in 90 hours or less. it isn't a race, per se. More of an endurance challenge. In any case, my Gold Rush blog was designed to track some of my training, and to be a place where I could record my thoughts and impressions during the ride. The result is a rather long account. You can find the blog from the link below.
