Videoblog – March Bicycle Madness

I have experimented with videoblogging mostly to get the feel for using digital video editing tools.  I completed a few projects based around a theme: Davis Bike Club's March Bicycle Madness.  In March, club members pledge to ride miles.  The club pays a set amount per mile, per rider, and all of the money goes to buy helmets for children.  There is a contest to see who can ride the most miles in March.  The winner often puts in over 3000 miles in that one month.

I thought it would be fun to document some of those rides and riders, while participating in the rides myself. All of the videos are collected, along with a few others, at blip.tv.  The link is below.

Please note: Not all videos are mine.  The three most recent (two labeled Feather River and one Jarbo Gap) are unedited footage taken on a digital camera by a fellow rider on a long ride.  The footage is nice, but the howling wind soundtrack is pretty unpleasant.
